London-based chartered clinical psychologist offering consultation, assessment and therapy

I’m currently accepting new clients.

Psychological therapy offers a way to look at difficulties in life and work toward change. This may be about developing skills and strategies to reduce the influence of a problem in daily life, or finding support to navigate a specific challenge. It can be explorative, making room for reflection and personal growth. Therapy can also provide a confidential space to make sense of past experiences, in a safe and constructive way.

My approach

My approach is person-centred and integrative. This means that I will be led by you, drawing on different therapeutic modalities to tailor our work to your particular needs and preferences. This includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and third-wave therapies, such as Mindfulness-based approaches and Compassion-Focused Therapy. These models are particularly well-evidenced for certain difficulties and focus more on the ‘here and now’, in a solution-focused way.

My practice is also informed by Narrative Therapy and systemic theory, as well as trauma-informed approaches. This invites deeper exploration about the stories of our lives and identities, our relationships, and the ways in which our social, cultural, and material contexts shape our experiences.

Experience and qualifications

I have worked in the NHS and voluntary sector for several years supporting adults, children and families with a wide range of concerns. This includes difficulties with stress and anger, low mood, anxiety-related difficulties including phobia and OCD, and experiences of trauma and abuse. I have a particular interest in supporting individuals with tricky relationships with food and body image.

I continue to work in the NHS as a Clinical Lead, and am an associate academic tutor on a doctoral training programme. I hold a Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology and am registered with the British Psychological Society and Health and Care Professions Council.
